About me
I'm Emily Tomimitsu, a graduate student in CSUN's Mass Communications program. My thesis project, "Race for Representation," combines my passion for long-distance running with advocacy.
My project includes creating a magazine that centers the experiences, advice, and stories of Latina runners.
By placing Latina runners front and center, I aim to challenge the lack of diversity in running publications. As I train for my fourth LA Marathon, I look forward to continuing to make strides toward a more inclusive and diverse running world for Latinas like myself.
